{"id":27965,"date":"2016-12-30T15:13:40","date_gmt":"2016-12-30T07:13:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/?p=27965"},"modified":"2016-12-30T15:15:15","modified_gmt":"2016-12-30T07:15:15","slug":"dbkl-gives-homeowners-6-months-renovation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/dbkl-gives-homeowners-6-months-renovation","title":{"rendered":"DBKL Gives Homeowners 6 Months To Submit Renovation Plans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Homeowners in Kuala Lumpur who have carried out renovations or extension works have six months to submit building plans to City Hall (DBKL) for approval under the governing body\u2019s new guidelines, reported national newswire <em>Bernama. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>DBKL Corporate Planning Department director Khalid Zakaria said the \u201camnesty\u201d programme for illegal construction would be opening for January 1 to June 30, 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;During the period, house owners who submit building renovation or extension plans for work that has been completed or ongoing will not be fined for having carried out renovation without authorisation or approval,&#8221; he said in a statement yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>DBKL will enforce its new guidelines beginning January 1 for single-storey, double-storey and three-storey terrace houses in Kuala Lumpur. Exempted are town houses, clustered and detached bungalows, as well as houses under the strata ownership.<\/p>\n<p>According to DBKL, standard-lot terrace houses refers to houses built on a plot of land with a width of not more than 18 feet.
