Malaysians can expect more tax incentives to spur the development of the fourth industrial revolution, or Industry 4.0, in the upcoming Budget 2018.<\/p>\n
This is part of the government\u2019s effort to encourage high-technology industries and reduce dependency on manpower, said Second Finance Minister Datuk Johari Abdul Ghani.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese include sectors involved in automation, robotic development, big data and others which are being promoted by the government,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
However, the government could no longer provide tax incentives for every sector, hence it would focus on the current landscape by taking into account the country\u2019s present and future needs, Johari said.<\/p>\n
