Budget 2018 is expected to deliver a wide range of incentives, said RHB Research Institute, adding that the government might increase expenditure next year by 4.3% to RM269.3 billion from an estimated RM258.2 billion in 2017.<\/p>\n
The research house is predicting that perks for ride-sharing services as well as a higher allocation for education are on the cards.<\/p>\n
It also didn\u2019t discount a focus on Industry 4.0 as well as promoting high-technology industries in areas of automation, robotic development, big data and cloud computing.<\/p>\n
Other areas of concern include affordable housing, salary increment and benefits for civil servants, extension of BR1M, assistance for Felda settlers, and more tax reliefs.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, who is also finance minister, is expected to table the budget on October 27.<\/p>\n
