{"id":34256,"date":"2018-05-18T16:24:32","date_gmt":"2018-05-18T08:24:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/?p=34256"},"modified":"2018-05-18T16:24:32","modified_gmt":"2018-05-18T08:24:32","slug":"gst-malaysia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/gst-malaysia","title":{"rendered":"GST At 0% Beginning June 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Goods and Services Tax (GST) will be set at 0% effective June 1, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The Finance Ministry, in a statement on Wednesday, announced the current rate of 6% will be scrapped and the new adjustment will be implemented nationwide next month to goods and services in Malaysia and those imported from overseas.<\/p>\n<p>However, this does not include goods and services listed in the Goods and Services Tax (Exempt Supply) Order 2014, which have already been exempted from GST.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As such, all registered business entities have to comply with the GST rate adjustment to 0%.
