The Transport Ministry have announced that there will be an additional 458 flights to supply the travel rush for the upcoming Hari Raya festivities.<\/p>\n
Its minister Anthony Loke said it will reduce the burden of those travelling as these extra flights will be able to accommodate a total of 140,264 people. He said the carriers include Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Malindo and Firefly for the time period between June 12 ad 19.<\/p>\n
There will also be additional flights to neighbouring countries such as Indonesia and Vietnam, as well as throughout Malaysia.<\/p>\n
He added that the public will also enjoy a 50% discount on tolls nationwide during the two-day Hari Raya holidays.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) will be increasing the frequency of its interstated Electric Train Service by six trips from 36 to 42 trips daily.<\/p>\n
