Director of DBKL\u2019s Corporate Planning Department Khairul Azmir Ahmad says that this is an opportunity for traffic offenders to settle their compounds to avoid being blacklisted by the Road Transport Department.<\/p>\n<p>This temporary rate is set at\u00a0RM20\u00a0for motorcycles; RM30 for cars, vans,\u00a0 and small lorries;\u00a0and RM50 for heavy vehicles. It will run from the 1st until the 30th of September. Giving Malaysians plenty of time to settle their outstanding compounds.<\/p>\n<p>That said, this special rate does not include those who have already been blacklisted\u00a0blacklisted\u00a0or have court cases\u00a0waiting against them.<\/p>\n<p>With this, Malaysians are being left off the hook for traffic offences once again. The Transport Ministry announced that all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/current-aes-summons-cancelled\" target=\"_blank\">AES summons<\/a> would be forgiven two weeks ago. Cancelling some 3.1 million unpaid summons; potentially costing the government up to RM430 million in income.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[Source: <a
