Dzulkefly Ahmad, Minister of Health and Mike Wells, Group Chief Executive of Prudential plc yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Said to be the first of its kind in the region, it is set to revolutionize personal healthcare for Malaysians.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;With instant, reliable and relevant health information at their fingertips, people will be able to make more informed decisions when it comes to managing their own health, particularly in the care of non-communicable diseases,\u201d said Dr. Dzulkefly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have repeatedly emphasised the need to strengthen public-private partnership to deliver best healthcare for <em>rakyat<\/em>. Partnership is the key to ensure scalability and sustainability of digital health solution,\u201d he added, stressing the importance of partnership between the public and private sector to enhance the healthcare scene in Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>He further stressed the need for people to take ownership and responsibility of their health especially B40 to achieve the true potential of their health.<\/p>\n<p>According to Mike Wells, Prudential wants to be seen as a company that is innovative and is committed to solving problems. \u201cPulse marks a step change in health management in Asia by making healthcare more inclusive and accessible,\u201d he points out that being consumer centric, the app is a way for its users to get answers to their questions with ease.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What-is-Pulse-by-Prudential\"><\/span><strong>What is Pulse by Prudential?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>A digital health and fitness app that offers AI-powered self-help tools and real time information to its users.<\/li>\n<li>Uses data you provide to understand your unique needs and aid your wellness journey.<\/li>\n<li>Consists of various local service providers such as:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Babylon Health- symptom checker and health assessment<\/li>\n<li>Tictrac- personalised wellness services<\/li>\n<li>DoctorOnCall- online consultation with doctors<\/li>\n<li>AIME-dengue outbreak predictor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/static.imoney.my\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-39282 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/static.imoney.my\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP-800x1421.jpg\" alt=\"PULSE WP\" width=\"419\" height=\"745\" srcset=\"\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP-800x1421.jpg 800w, \/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP-300x533.jpg 300w, \/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP-768x1364.jpg 768w, \/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/PULSE-WP.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 419px) 100vw, 419px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>The app can be classified into four different services:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Health Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Symptom Checker<\/li>\n<li>Online Consultation<\/li>\n<li>Dengue Alert<\/li>\n<li>Fitness Tracker<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-will-Pulse-be-of-help-to-you\"><\/span><strong>How will Pulse be of help to you? <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>The features of the app allows you to check your health score and specifies areas that need to be improved such as food intake and daily activities.<\/li>\n<li>Upon answering questions related to your health that lasts for about 15 minutes, the app will generate a \u2018Digital Twin\u2019 that details the condition of your organs.<\/li>\n<li>You will also be able to carry out symptom checking using the app. All you need to do is answer a series of questions on how you are feeling and where it hurts.<\/li>\n<li>You could also opt to talk to a doctor. All you need to do is pay RM10 for audio or video consultation (this service is free of charge for Prudential customers).<\/li>\n<li>In case you need to go to a hospital, the app will notify you of all the hospitals nearby to your current location.<\/li>\n<li>Track your daily fitness goals such as steps count, distance tracking, calorie intake and calorie burn from existing health apps and wearables.<\/li>\n<li>You will also be able to track the hotspots of dengue outbreak up to 3 months in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It offers self-help tools
