{"id":41314,"date":"2019-11-13T16:50:59","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T08:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/?p=41314"},"modified":"2019-11-13T16:50:59","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T08:50:59","slug":"tng-rfid-more-payment-options","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/tng-rfid-more-payment-options","title":{"rendered":"You Will Soon Be Able To Link Your TNG RFID To More Payment Options"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Highway cruising is about to get more convenient.<\/p>\n<p>PLUS has announced a new collaboration that will offer Malaysians additional cashless payment options at toll plazas via the TNG RFID tag.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"More-payment-options-for-TNG-RFID\"><\/span>More payment options for TNG RFID<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Unlike the current test system, which only allows users to link their TNG RFID to the TNG e-wallet, the new system will allow users to link their RFID to bank accounts, credit cards and debit cards.<\/p>\n<p>This will be available at 10 open system toll plazas at PLUS expressways by January 1 2020, and at 83 closed system toll plazas by April 1, 2020.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What-is-an-open-system-toll-plaza\"><\/span>What is an open system toll plaza?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>An open system toll plaza charges you for travelling on a specific section of the highway. Toll rates are fixed based on your vehicle class. This is common for most highways in the Klang Valley.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, a closed system toll plaza charges you based on your entry and exit points.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Can-you-still-use-TNG-card-and-SmartTAG\"><\/span>Can you still use TNG card and SmartTAG?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>While RFID-driven payment is eventually expected to replace the TNG card, PLUS has assured that both TNG card and SmartTAG users will not experience any disruptions next year.<\/p>\n<p>[Sources: <a
