Call +603 7885 2585 for more information.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PASSPusat\/status\/1472435848025018368\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Parti Aspirasi Sains Malaysia<\/a> is offering aid in the form of food, shelter and transportation to those in Selangor and KL.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SikhInside\/status\/1472185148317712384\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Shah Alam Gurdwara<\/a> is offering to those affected.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CXn-8hQl9jc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pustaka Raja Tun Uda<\/a> has been opened as a temporary shelter. Call +603 5519 7667 for more information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Financial-aid\"><\/span>Financial aid<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The government recently announced that it will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freemalaysiatoday.com\/category\/nation\/2021\/12\/19\/rm1000-for-each-household-hit-by-floods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">contribute RM1,000<\/a> for each household affected by the floods. In addition, the Bantuan Wang Ihsan payments, which were increased from RM500 RM1,000 per household in September, will be expedited.<\/p>\n<p>The government is in discussion with banks to offer <a href=\"https:\/\/themalaysianreserve.com\/2021\/12\/19\/mof-in-discussion-with-banks-on-payment-aid-program-for-flood-victims\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">payment assistance programmes<\/a> for borrowers affected by the floods. Further details are expected to be shared later.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re interested in giving financial aid, many non-profit organisations (NGOs) and flood relief programmes are accepting donations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CXpfTecFVTJ\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MERCY Malaysia<\/a> is an NGO that focuses on providing medical relief, sustainable health related development and risk reduction. Your funds will be used to cover medical assistance, hygiene supplies, food assistance and other relief items.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/maribantu.my\/banjir\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Maribantu<\/a> is an online donation platform launched by the Malaysia United Democratic Alliance (Muda). Your funds will be used for necessities, food and financial aid.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HappyBankCrew\/status\/1472198624599699460\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Happy Bank<\/a> is an NGO that aims to support and help underprivileged communities. Your funds will be used to provide affected families with care packages containing food and other necessities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WeListenMY\/posts\/572594370763123\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">We Listen Malaysia<\/a> is an NGO that delivers aid to Malaysians in need. They are accepting donations to help those affected to restore their homes and receive basic necessities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/donate.mycare.org.my\/c\/appeal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MyCARE<\/a> provides humanitarian relief across Southeast Asia. It raises funds all-year round for those affected by floods. Your funds are used to cover food packages, maternity supplies and other necessities.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/kembarakitchen\/posts\/4800019600018487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kembara Kitchen<\/a> is sending meals to those stuck or sent to evacuation centers.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MyFundAction\/status\/1472198691905675264\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">MyFundAction<\/a> is an organisation that empowers youth through Islamic values. There are also those looking for volunteers to help with rescue efforts or distributing necessities. <a href=\"https:\/\/maribantu.my\/pasca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Maribantu<\/a> needs volunteers to help with flood cleanups and aid distribution.
