{"id":57156,"date":"2023-07-20T14:19:56","date_gmt":"2023-07-20T06:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wordpress-my-161844363.ap-southeast-1.elb.amazonaws.com\/articles\/?p=57156"},"modified":"2023-07-20T14:19:56","modified_gmt":"2023-07-20T06:19:56","slug":"tng-remittance-goremit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/tng-remittance-goremit","title":{"rendered":"Touch \u2018n Go eWallet Now Offers Remittance Services To 10 Countries"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TNG Digital has launched its digital remittance services, GOremit, which can be accessed via the Touch \u2018n Go eWallet.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This service allow users to send money securely to five Southeast Asian countries namely Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam; additionally, users can also send money to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith GOremit in the Touch \u2018n Go eWallet, users and merchants can remit money to 10 countries from a convenient and safe platform. We are providing an inclusive solution with competitive exchange rates that meet the needs of millions of foreign workers that are here in Malaysia. Users who have the need to transfer money conveniently to their children studying abroad or transfer on behalf of their domestic helpers can do so via GOremit,\u201d said Alan Ni, Chief Executive Officer of TNG Digital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to use the GOremit service, senders are required to complete their verification via eKYC. Once done, they can choose to\u00a0 transfer to the recipient\u2019s bank account, local e-wallet or to cash pick-up points. Currently, there are three supporting e-wallets: bKash in Bangladesh, GCash and PayMaya in Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWith the introduction of GOremit to our financial services portfolio, we are closer to becoming the go-to alternative to traditional banking solutions. We have plans to introduce more partners and expand this service to more countries in the future,\u201d added Ni.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Push notifications will be sent to users to update them on the status of their transactions, and they can view the ongoing status at any time via the TNG eWallet app. There is also an option to obtain a transaction receipt and for it to be sent to their registered email.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apart from sending money overseas using GOremit, users can also receive funds from overseas via their TNG eWallet using Wise and Panda Remit. This is especially helpful for students in Malaysia who need to receive money from overseas.
