This is to appeal to EPF members to not fall for a new EPF Account 3 scam circulating right now.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>EPF warning of Account 3 scam<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a Facebook post, EPF shared a public reminder on this new scam. They reminded the public to not fall for the lies of scammers and to always be careful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: none; overflow: hidden;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FKWSPMalaysia%2Fposts%2Fpfbid024xv7vnYQLEpyNz5BKv4dKphZECv3Qkas1Qy64KTPy4wr8AihWPYfFVbXHfk8fkhPl&amp;show_text=true&amp;width=500&amp;is_preview=true\" width=\"500\" height=\"660\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a fact-check report from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestar.com.my\/news\/true-or-not\/2024\/05\/16\/quickcheck-are-epf-account-3-unauthorised-withdrawals-being-used-in-a-new-scam#:~:text=EPF%20warned%20the%20public%20of,were%20made%20on%20Account%203\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Star<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the new EPF Account 3 scam happens in which the scammers will send a message impersonating EPF to unsuspecting victims, saying that withdrawals have been made on their Account 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scammer hopes that the victim will panic and return their call in hopes of stopping the withdrawal. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">From there, the scammers will proceed to feed the victims with more lies and proceed to ask the victims for cash.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In order to avoid becoming a victim, make sure you are prepared ahead to watch out for such <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imoney.my\/articles\/common-money-scams\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">money scams<\/a>.
