Starting 31 May, 2024, these book vouchers can be used at the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (PBAKL 2024).<\/p>\n<p>The book fair is taking place at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur until 2 June, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Datuk SEri Anwar Ibrahim announced the voucher giveaway when officiating the event yesterday. Students starting from Year 4 primary upto to secondary, college and tertiary students including those in teaching institutes are eligible to claim the vouchers.<\/p>\n<h2>Book vouchers to have purchase guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>In his speech, he added that a guideline would be issued on the types of books that can be purchased using the vouchers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Perhaps half of the amount will be for works by national laureates like A Samad Said, Shahnon Ahmad and Anwar Ridhwan,&#8221; he said in his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/anwaribrahimofficial\/posts\/pfbid02Frht9vUdk3tSSfP3yaZPHWDAE8F274siVy1sefxn1RoKXK44SVoCJMsYxpoavMycl?locale=ms_MY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Anwar also suggested that students use the vouchers for purchase of books on digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n<p>Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir who were also present at the event later clarified on the voucher details.
