The Finance Ministry has recently put out a written reply in Parliament on the amount of transactions recorded for the new EPF flexible account.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It was revealed that Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members have <\/span>withdrawn RM7.81 billion<\/span><\/a> from Account 3 or the Flexible Account as of 24 June.<\/span><\/p>\n According to the MoF statement, around 3.61 million or 27.8 percent of the total EPF members under the age of 55 had decided to transfer an initial amount to Account 3 from Account 2 (Sejahtera Account). Up till this point, a total transfer of RM11.52 billion has been made.<\/span><\/p>\n The ministry said that a total of RM5.12 billion was transferred to Account 1 (retirement account) with the restructuring of EPF accounts. <\/span><\/p>\n Additionally, around 3.16 million (24.3 percent) of EPF members under the age of 55 have made withdrawals from Account 3.
