Bhd. (PayNet) have officially launched the National Fraud Portal (NFP) yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>BNM, PayNet and 16 other financial institutions have launched the NFP as an integrated platform to strengthen the operational capabilities of the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC).<\/p>\n<h4>NFP automates end-to-end processing of scam reports<\/h4>\n<p>Minister of Finance II YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan presided over the launch held yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ensuring a secure and safeguarded digital future is crucial in elevating our nation\u2019s status and competitiveness as envisioned under the Ekonomi MADANI framework,&#8221; said Minister of Finance II YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnm.gov.my\/-\/nfp-launch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at the launch.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The NFP integrated platform offers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Automated fund tracing and recovery<\/strong> \u2013 financial institutions can swiftly track stolen funds across the entire financial system through automated tracing. It prevents further transfers and increases the prospect of fund recovery.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Effective industry-wide information sharing and collaboration<\/strong> \u2013 for financial institutions to share information and intelligence on fraud incidences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Data-driven mule assessments<\/strong> \u2013 NFP is supported by credible data on mule accounts that will facilitate better identification, assessment and monitoring of mules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cWith the NFP, the NSRC operations is now equipped with an end-to-end automated process from managing fraud reports, validating and tracing stolen funds, to sharing alerts among financial institutions to trigger prompt action,\u201d BNM Governor Dato\u2019 Seri Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour announced at the launch.<\/p>\n<h4>#JanganKenaScam updates<\/h4>\n<p>Members of the public can follow the Amaran Scam Facebook page (facebook.com\/amaranpenipuan) to stay vigilant. They can also get the latest updates from the #JanganKenaScam website (jangankenascam.com).<\/p>\n<p>Those who have fallen victim to a scam should immediately contact their financial institutions or
