The new feature is Android phone\u2019s counterpart to Apple\u2019s \u2018Find My\u2019 app, which does the same thing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Using the \u2018Find My Device\u2019 Feature, Android phone users can also ring your device remotely, or even wipe your device to protect any private information stored within it, in case you\u2019re afraid that your device might fall into the wrong hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Want to know how to get this feature for your phone? Let\u2019s get into that next.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-to-use-Google-Find-My-Device\"><\/span><b>How to use Google Find My Device\u00a0<\/b><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To find your device using the Find My Device feature, first you have to download the Find My Device app on another device. The app is available <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.google.android.apps.adm&amp;hl=en&amp;pli=1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for the Google Play Store.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that you have the app on another device, here\u2019s what you have to do;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open the Find My Device app on another device.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sign in to your Google account.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Find My Device will show an approximate current location.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To track down a lost device that&#8217;s close by, select Play Sound. The device will ring loudly for 5 minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Press the Power button to stop the ringing once you find your phone.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can even lock your phone remotely to prevent other people accessing your lost phone using the \u2018<\/span><b>Secure device\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">button, or even wipe it by clicking on the \u2018<\/span><b>Erase device\u2019 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">button.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So there you have it!
