In fact, Islamic finance in Malaysia is growing by leaps and bounds and at such a rapid pace that the world has begun to take notice. A World Islamic Banking Competitiveness Report 2015-16<\/a>\u00a0published by Ernst and Young\u00a0shows that Malaysia is among the most competitive countries for Islamic finance.<\/p>\n Malaysia’s market share took a short dip between 2014 and 2016, but it still commands a strong 15.5% of the global market. Other countries appear to have more annual growth; however, this is likely due to the smaller nature of the markets. The first of these two is the International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF), which incidentally is also the world\u2019s leading university for the study of Islamic finance.<\/p>\n The university also houses the International Shari\u2019ah Research Academy, produces internationally accepted rule book for Islamic Finance.<\/p>\n The second institution, the Islamic Banking and Finance Institute of Malaysia (IBFIM) focuses on providing vocational training and also acts in a consultancy capacity to banks and firms that want to become Shariah-compliant.<\/p>\n <\/span>The people<\/span><\/h3>\n |
